SHS Math Club Makes Donation to Ronald McDonald House
posted 06/21/2010
Southside High School Math Club advisors Tina Petty and Lisa Johnson recently recycled the can tabs that the school has been collecting to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Greenville. The advisors recycled 260 pounds of can tabs and collected $130 which they donated to the House. The amount collected was enough to pay for a family to stay in the House for 13 nights.
The Math Club will continue to collect can tabs next year for the House. The advisors would like to thank Snowden Elementary, Chocowinity Middle, Chocowinity Primary, Hot Locks of Washington, and Mike’s Mini Mart of Chocowinity for serving as drop-off locations.
