Beaufort County High School Students Recognized at NAACP Banquet

During the NAACP’s 29th annual banquet, three Beaufort County high school students were recognized as community youth who exhibit leadership skills.
Lonniesha Williams, a graduating senior at Southside High School, was recently named the People’s Choice winner for the Miss Summer Festival 2010 pageant, and Marcrissa Carswell, a rising senior at Southside, is the reigning Miss Beaufort County. Amiar Johnson, a graduating senior at Washing High School, is the president of the senior class and plans to attend N.C. A & T State University to major in business and marketing.
